We’re back!
Firstly I must apologise for not blogging sooner. Natalie, our custodian, has been on holiday and I wasn’t able to visit Paycocke’s in the meantime. But we are back to blogging regular updates from now on!
The floorboards in the ground floor dining room were lifted in the last couple of weeks. Contractors expected to have to replace some floor joists, believing them to have suffered from damp. We were pleasantly surprised to find that little repair was needed. A couple of floorboards were replaced and new cables laid so we can actually use our power sockets now!
As I mentioned in a previous blog, the scaffolding has been extended to work on the last area. This week tiles have been stripped from the roof with hopes of starting the carpentry next week.
